Short-Term Running Goals:

Break 23:45 in the 5k.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay thin and full of energy.

Not be an embarassment to my family full of world class athletes.

Personal:

Madly in love with Sasha. We have been married since 1996 and have been blessed with seven of the most adorable and talented children : Benjamin, Jennifer, Julia, and Joseph, Jacob, William and Stephen.

All of our children have run in at least one race, including Jacob and William who did it inside the womb. I enjoy various non-running activities such as: baking, sewing, playing organ, piano and flute, painting, and playing with our  vivacious children.

Tried to pick up the pace a tiny bit but I just can't...weird feeling. Had a dream I was single again and kissing a guy that I used to like. Sasha just laughs when I tell him dreams like that because he knows it's innocent. I am always faithful to him in my dreams...that is comforting. I used to dream I was going to marry someone else but I would always remember at the last second that I was married to Sasha and choose him over the other guy.

Theme for the day....don't die running.....Sasha tripped and landed on his chest. He tried to get up and run but his heart wasn't working. He had to lay down and catch his breath. Then he comes home and tells me he was wondering if he'd have to have his running partner call an ambulance for a second there. There is a strange thing that can happen to people. If they hit a certain part of their chest with enough force it can kill them. So nobody fall down and die running...please.

I love how honest you are. I actually had a dream like that last night too. Michael Phelps had a crush on me. Heh heh heh. (I've still got it--at least in my dreams!) But when he tried to kiss me I remembered James and ditched him! It's pretty uncommon for me to dream about that kind of stuff, though. Usually I am Lybi the Incredible Flying Woman in my dreams ;).

That's scary about Sasha, though! Hope he is feeling all back to normal. Can't imagine Big Red in a "I've fallen and I can't get up" situation.

How terrible about Sasha! That will give you bad dreams. When I am pregnant my dreams are HORRIBLE! DAvid is abandoning me with all sorts of women. I am usually mad at him for a long time afterwards. My dreams also get pretty R rated when I am pregnant. They really crack David up. I don't think they're very funny. Hormones!

Oh I wish I was flying in my dreams. Sasha likes to think of me as a hot babe who has guys after me I guess...even if it's just in my dreams! Sounds like he and David can relate Marion...they know it's all innocent and not really our fault.

I don't think we are accountable for what we dream about. At least I certainly hope not! Otherwise I would definitely be imprisoned for indecent exposure. If I'm not flying, I'm lost and trying to find my classes at BYU and OH NO! I forgot to put clothes on!

Sasha has always told me not to worry about dreams. I think guys kill people in their dreams and even crazier stuff than kissing your old boyfriend.

I have had one or two dreams where Sasha was unfaithful to me and I was mad at him half the day...even though I knew it was a dream....it's supposed to be entertaining for us right?

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 15:01:12

That is so funny to read because I have had the same unfaithful dreams and when I wake up I can not shake the feeling that I have been cheated on! I am mad for longer than a day, even thought I try to convince myself it was JUST A DREAM!

Sorry to hear about Sasha, that is freaky. I hope he did not hurt anything or get all scraped up. AND that is why we should never run alone, just in case!

Great job as always with your running! Your baby is so close to being here I am jealous! I love babies!!! Can I come babysit?

From marion on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 15:22:43

What happend to Sasha is why I wear a kitty tag on my running shoes with my name and # on it. They are like $2 at walmart. I give them to my friends for b-day presents :)

From sarah on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 16:17:32

You guys are so funny....I know about that cheated on feeling...one time Sasha ran with an older lady for a couple of weeks and I was jealous out of my brains!! We both decided he HAS to always run with a chaperone...she was like 15 years older so he thought I was being funny but she was an olympic athlete and I was not amused!

Kelli-if you EVER want to hold a baby please come to my house. I get very tired of holding my baby somedays and won't let my little kids hold the baby for fear they will kill the little thing and Sasha is TERRIBLE...he comes from the school of crying is good for your lungs..I come from the school of attachment parenting and responding to your child's cries. Not a good combo. My little William will be free for holding for a couple of months at least :)

I LOVE the kitty tag idea!! He did have a running partner with him this morning so that is comforting. sorry about the croup...I hate croup..i hate it bad.

Ah, my husband belongs to the "just let them cry it out" group as well. I do not like baby crying, it makes me so sad! Okay, on your worst, most tired, "I have had it with kids for a minute" day, you call me and I am there. And I am not joking!!! I LOVE babies (anyone who doesn't is nuts!)

And now I know the running in 3's rule (when one is female), good thinking!

From marion on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 16:23:06

I don't believe in crying babies either- like you can "believe" in that :) But I don't let my babies cry at all. I cry too if they won't stop. I think that is why I only got one cholicy(sp?) baby. Babies need to be held and loves and snuggles and sniffed. I LOVE new baby smell! I'm going to have to come over and smell your baby :) Just recently Mac (5) saw me holding a baby and told us he wanted one :) It was very sweet. he had to hold it too and kiss it. I love it when you see a child who cannot restrain their love an affection for a baby. There is nothing sweeter!

I can't believe it is almost time for another little one! That must be exciting! :) As for the Sasha incident, I know it's unrelated but I read about the children's blizzard of 1882 I believe it was where people weathered the storms outside all night to sub 0 temperatures and then come morning they stood up and walked 5 feet and then dropped dead simply because the coldness made it impossible for their body to warm the blood as soon as the heart pumped it away from the core of the body and to the extremities.

If I fall out there today, I just hope I do it gracefully! :) (and hopefully not too many people are driving past the track and see me!)
