I've been getting out a walking a teeny bit in the morning the last couple of days. Can't wait until I get the go ahead to run. My midwife isn't too keen on the running thing..old school thinking. She is in her late 50's and seems to still think it's bad for everyone's knees. I am feeling pretty good most days. I wake up tired and am done by 7 or 8 every night but I"m holding my own. More details on Stephen's grand entrance...I'd been having contractions at night on and off for about 3 weeks. Never any in the day. On Saturday (the 21st) I started having contractions about 5 p.m. but wasnt' sure because it wasn't hard labor..just slight ones every 5 -10 minutes. Finally asked my midwife to come over around 8:30 and just check me before I went to bed. I was at a 7. After a couple of hours I still had not progressed from a 7. She gave me some homeopathics to see if it could get things started. Sasha and I went on a walk..which I started off by showing off my running legs that I had dilligently kept in the best shape possible (for me). I ran like 50 meters..no big deal..Sasha was thrilled..he is such a goofball. About 5 minutes later the contractions picked up to 3 miutes apart and started to hurt more. We did another lap. By the end of the next lap I was in serious transition and having trouble walking. I got inside and while everyone scrambled around to get ready I was walking around crying..it hurt..time to push!! The baby was born real fast after that. I think I pushed like 5 or 6 times. He is adorable. Has a perky little Pachev nose..cute lips..great ears and two big fat adorable dimples. Everyone has been great at home..the kids help so much and Sasha tries to do what he can when he gets home. Can't wait to get back in shape and get off my baby fat but I'm enjoying the quiet time with Stephen for now. :)
